About
Giancarlo Pinzon grew up in Queens, New York, where a childhood of Disney sing-alongs — High School Musical, Camp Rock — planted a deep love for song. It wasn't until high school that he discovered the world of musicals, and with it, a calling. At Frank Sinatra School of the Arts, he immersed himself in choir, musical theatre, and opera, earning the privilege of performing at some of the world's most storied stages — including Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, and City Center.
Those years brought rare opportunities: a commercial alongside the late Tony Bennett — the school's iconic founder — and a performance celebrating the 125th anniversary of Columbia University's Teachers College. Giancarlo later trained at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy's Integrated Conservatory Program, where he deepened his acting and dance craft, learning to tell stories with his whole body, not just his voice. Shortly after graduation, he took the stage at New York City Hall as part of a Broadway's Rising Stars concert — a fitting debut into the city's professional scene. He has since become a frequent presence in New York's cabaret world, performing Broadway's greatest hits at The Green Room 42 and 54 Below.
Then life wrote its own plot twist. After playing Radames in Aida on stage, Giancarlo found himself booked as a Lead Soloist for AIDA Cruise Lines — a completely different production, same name, different ocean. Coincidence? Maybe. A sign? Absolutely. Sailing the world and performing original production shows along the way, he returned with a passport full of stamps, a deeper command of the stage, and one very good story. Now Giancarlo is ready to take on New York City — with genuine emotion, respect for the craft, and an eagerness to collaborate with fellow creatives.
